The Steel Yard is built to last, and what happens here has a lasting effect.
A 100-year tradition of industrial arts practice is secured in our studio. You can see our history in the old solid brick walls and our future in the artful precision of new electrical conduit.
Without you, we wouldn’t be here today. With you, we are restored, operational year-round and on the cusp of increased energy independence with the announcement of our 50KW solar array. This means that artists can make and create, students can explore new craft, and job trainees can gain the necessary skills for good paying work - all year long!
We also build relationships to last, making it more important than ever that the studios and skills practiced at the Yard can be accessed by every member of our community. Your support fuels this work and funds this future, by allowing us to invest in programs and people that are the trainees, students, residents and leaders in the shop.
You can continue to depend on the Yard and we know that we can count on you.
